President and FMX Athlete
Having served in the Australian Defence Force, Dean has always been the fast-paced, action-driven kind of guy. After leaving the military, he took some time to reflect on what he really wanted out of life and soon discovered his passion for coaching and helping others reach their potential.
Dean first found his passion for coaching as a kiteboarding instructor and later became a motocross coach at CityMX. He loves nothing more than helping people become the best version of themselves, whether that’s in everyday life or chasing their dreams.
For Dean, coaching is just as rewarding as riding. Seeing someone progress, push their limits and achieve something they didn’t think they could do is what drives him.
Dean has always chased the extreme sports lifestyle. Whether it’s concrete, dirt, air or sea, there’s no element he won’t throw something under his feet to chase that feeling!

Gavin Thorneycroft
Athlete - Wheelchair and ATV stuntman
Gavin, AKA Mr Drifter — the man who reminds us that anything is possible!
Gavin lives with cerebral palsy, which means he has limited control of his body, but he has never allowed that to define what he is capable of. From a young age, Gavin has always found a way to get involved, overcome challenges and prove that there is more than one way to achieve something.
At just 12 years old, Gavin taught himself how to communicate so he could finally be understood. Since then, his determination, humour and positive attitude have made him an inspiration to everyone around him.
Gavin competed in Boccia for more than a decade, eventually reaching the World Games and ranking 20th in the world. Now a proud member of the Inspire Change Crew, he’s best known at our shows for tearing it up with his wheelchair burnouts — but what really stands out is his mindset. Whether it’s skydiving, bowling or finding new ways to tackle everyday challenges, Gavin is always pushing boundaries and showing what’s possible.
With his best mate Marley, his loyal German Shepherd, by his side, Gavin continues to step things up. His next goal is to bring even bigger stunts to our shows with his very own custom ATV, designed so he can control it using just his chin.
Your situation doesn’t define you — it’s what you do with it that counts!

Todd James
BMX Pro Athlete
Todd James, a family man who grew up as the classic misunderstood ADHD kid with big dreams and no guidance. Todd spent years fighting the world, falling into addiction, anger, rebellion and self-destruction, always trying to understand why he felt different. It wasn't until much later that he realised he didn't need to understand it — He needed to accept it. That shift changed everything.
Pushing through the hardship and challenges, Todd went onto hitting some huge milestones, becoming a professional BMX rider, landing a triple backflip and building a family, the achievement he is most proud of. Now, through Inspire Change Crew, Todds mission is to use his lived experience to help young people accept who they are, build on their strengths and avoid the painful lessons he learned the hard way.
Todd always says if he can help someone find themselves earlier than he did, that's the win for him!

Mitch Tripney
MC
After suffering a devastating spinal cord injury and broken back in an FMX accident in 2023, Mitch was told he may never walk again. Refusing to accept that outcome, he threw everything he had into rehabilitation, driven by one goal — to be the father his son deserved.
Through grit, resilience and an unbreakable mindset, Mitch progressed from standing with braces and crutches to walking with a stick — and is now even starting to run again.
Before his injury, Mitch was a passionate freestyle motocross rider, travelling from Darwin to perform in FMX shows at the Noonamah Tavern Rodeo and road-tripping interstate for competitions and jam sessions whenever he could. One of the proudest moments of his riding career was achieving his number-one bucket-list goal — landing a backflip on his dirt bike.
Today, Mitch brings that same passion, experience and determination to Inspire Change Crew as our MC and show choreographer, helping bring our high-energy performances to life and inspiring crowds across Victoria.
Mitch’s story is living proof that even when life changes in an instant, setbacks do not have to define your future.

Mathew Cossens
BMX Pro Athlete
From the very beginning, we’ve had our epic BMX athlete, coach and mentor Matthew Cossens, AKA Peigy, as part of the Inspire Change Crew.
From a young age, Peigy simply loved riding BMX and having fun on his bike. As his skills developed, he began to realise just how far his talent could take him and decided to push himself into the world of competition.
Competing across Australia and riding alongside some of the best athletes in the sport pushed Peigy’s BMX skills to another level. He went on to win multiple local competitions, place 3rd in the State Championships across 2023–2024, and finish 7th at the Australian Nationals. But competing was only part of the journey. Peigy had always wondered what it would be like to take his riding into live shows — and now he’s doing exactly that.
Today, Peigy is a valued member of Inspire Change Crew, not only as an athlete but also as a coach and mentor to young people.
You’ll find him sending it at our live shows, launching off the super kicker onto our FMX lander and showing crowds just how big BMX can go!
